I am tired, sleepy, dehydrated, exhausted, sore, moody, cranky, and hungry. What a way to start the day. And to make it even worse, I didn’t get to see the entire episode of LOST last night. It’s like my memory when I drink-there are missing parts. Thanks to ABC for their free streaming of the past episodes, I would have probably shot myself in the head if such thing didn’t exist. There’s only one positive thing about this day, it’s friday!

My New Year’s resolution of not drinking coffee in the morning has been a success. I found an alternative to get my boost of energy for times like this, Powerade and/or Vitamin Water. I came across this page while searching for a picture of Vitamin Water. Click on the picture below to read the article. It’s purified and has this quote “stay focused, believe in yourself and believe in God.” It seized to amaze me how marketing companies will touch on anything just to push their products to consumers-pathetic! I think I need to stop and get back to work. There’s only one solution to this dreaded morning, breakfast burrito!

This season’s episodes of LOST seems to be moving a lot faster. We may not be getting all the answers we’re looking for, but I can definitely tell that the story lines are way faster compared to past seasons. I’ve read that tonight’s Desmond-centric episode will mostly focus on Sayid and Desmond’s trip with Frank Lapidus back to the freighter – and accordingly we will see the introduction of a number of new characters. Right, new characters. Hopefully we get much more information about Ben’s man inside the boat, which I think it’s Michael-we shall see. Lastly, last week’s episode revealed that Kate have a son named “Aaron”, but was he really Claire’s son? If so it only tells us that Claire didn’t make it and she’s not part of the Oceanic 6. I’m trying to sum up all the possibilities, but this show is very unpredictable. I guess I would just have to wait and find out for myself.

Episode Preview:

Sayid and Desmond run into turbulence on their way to the freighter, causing Desmond to suffer unusual side effects.

Mammoth trip was a hit, it’s still one of my favorite resort in North America, it has never fail to impress me. You will notice that there are no pictures from riding session, reason being is that the storm came really early around 2pm. It was snowing the whole time we were there, the wind were blowing drastically. There’s no point in time I was able to take a shot of the mountain, because of the fog and the wind. Some people who didn’t have an extra overcast lense for their goggles tumbled down the slopes since it’s low visibility, yup, it was that bad! Your face will literally go numb if you don’t have any type of mask on, when the snow hits your face it felt like someone throwing wet sand at you. Ultimately, all we did was enjoyed the fresh POW. Winter is shorter, but definitely stronger.

I apologize for the lack of updates. I’ve been meaning to update this blog, the only thing that’s holding me back are the pictures that I needed to upload for the Mammoth trip. I’ve been so busy ever since I got back from Mammoth. School, work, the freelance, and of course the night escapades, have been occupying my life like crazy. Monday night was a bit crazy for me, for some divine reason I was at work in the morning and I’m on time, sweet Jesus. And last night, I don’t even want to talk about it! Anyway, I have a lot in my mind lately and this blog will help seeps some out. I have a few blogs that I need to post, I didn’t want to post them, reason because I didn’t want it to contradict with the past events to the recent one’s. I hope you’re getting what I’m trying to imply, because I feel like I’m not making any sense.

The weekend has been a blast. I couldn’t be any happier when I’m up the mountain and shredding myheart out.  I’ll dispense the details on my blog about Mammoth. Getting out of the city and taking a break from the normal routine of life is definitely a must in everyone’s lives.  Snowboarding season is in full blast, and it strikes me again that snowboarding is an all-or-nothing proposition.  Compromise can gnaw away at the plan;  it seeps through the cracks in our lives until, pretty soon, it’s running the show.  Driver’s wanted, right? But sometimes we all end up going for a ride.  Traditional restrictions apply; job, rent, him, her … the car, the dog. There are plenty of obstacles to get in the way. But, man, an occasional trip to the snow-an on-again, off-again brush with happiness-just doesn’t cut it.  What am I getting at? Life is short. Winter is shorter, but stronger.  If you’ve never tried snowboarding or always thought of trying it, procastinating won’t get you no where. Design your days around snowboarding with the people who are important to you, and the rest will fall into place. There’ll be time enough for compromise when spring comes around.

In honor of my favorite show on television “LOST,” since 20% of my posts are about the tv show, I decided to create it’s own category on my blog. Tada! If you don’t know it by now, I am very dedicated to this show. There’s some type of energy that sucks me in to tune in every week. I am driven to find out what are the characters future plot. I do a lot of reading prior to the future episodes and I will try to share and post everything here.

There’s no such thing as “Too Much Information.”

Tonight’s episode is going to focus on “Kate.” That bracelet that made you wonder, what if there’s any connection in some sort? There’s no connection, “sometimes bracelet is just a bracelet,” keep reading. Last two episodes Ben, Benjamin, or how my dear friend would rather say “Henry Gale”, gave me the impression that he is part of the suppose rescuers. Then, last weeks episode made me wonder maybe Ben is part of the Oceanic 6. Maybe I’m right, maybe not. Here’s a great read regarding the inside scoops of the show. LOST-mind blowing scoops from it’s producers

Tonight’s LOST is going to be extra special, you asked? Because having someone who has the same passion as I am next to me and screaming in front of the television is far more exciting than watching it by myself.

This morning the campus was in “lock down.” All the classes were cancelled, all the administration buildings were shutdown. Somebody reported that a person roaming around the campus with an assault rifle and a cannister on the man’s waist. This prompted the school to shut down and search the sprawling university grounds 20 miles south of downtown Los Angeles. Apparently, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says someone mistook a ROTC student practicing with a fake rifle to be an armed gunman. False alarm. Follow this link if for any reason you’re in a situation like this and I hope you won’t.

It seems like a bit colder than usual when I got up this morning.  I moved the blinds to see what kind of weather and my morning commute will be like. Rain dripping down my window.  I hurried up and got ready for work, knowing how the morning commute is like when it rains. In California, when it rains drivers gets freaked out for some reason and starts driving slow.

And what do you know, it’s traffic and I’m guaranteed late for work again.  This traffic is not helping my time management of getting to work early.  Precaution is apprehensible, but driving 25mph in a low precipitation is not.

Despite of the traffic, this type of weather always cheers me up.  I think Californian’s do not appreciate the rain as much, when it rains they complain instantly.  For example, somebody saw me walking with no umbrella this morning.  I was asked where my umbrella was and I answered in a polite way-”You should try to feel the rain on your face sometimes, it feels good” she smiled.  Also, when it rains here in the city the temperature up in the mountain drops down, so there’s that possibility of snowing-SNOW!  Oh, how rain puts me in such good mood. Anyway, it’s already a great day.

If you think that pyramid right there is the symbol for Daft Punk, you’re partially correct, but not quite.  If you have no idea what it is, more than likely that was the day you ditched school and had an intimate moment with your bong, dealing with your personal issues, or what have you.  This post is to remind myself and encourage you to step up and stop waiting for whatever you’re waiting for.  What I am trying to say is to simply stop procastinating, quit thinking that there’s enough time tomorrow.  Keep motivating yourself to achieve what you’ve been procastinating, whether to lose some weight, finish school, get a masteral degree, find that perfect job you’ve been dreaming of, or whatever you need to accomplish.

Most of you know that pyramid is Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, Motivation, and Personality.  This theory he developed remains valid today for understanding human motivation, management training, and personal development.  Maslow stresses that the hierarchy states that we must satisfy each need in turn, starting with the first, which deals with the most obvious for survival itself.  If the things that satisfy our lower order needs are swept away, we are no longer concerned about the maintenance of our higher order needs.  We all know self-actualization is our personal growth and fullfilment, and these comes from our achievement, status, responsibility, and reputation in life.  It’s a long way up there from the bottom.  We tap self-fullfilment once in awhile, but comes back down right away.  Enable for us to stay up there is to achieve our goals in life, that’s if you have one.  What are your goals? Not everybody has the same goals in life, but whatever that might be for you, try to reach for it before it’s too late and start chasing it.

You better do something now, because the world doesn’t owe you anything.  It would be helpful if you map out and start rationalizing why you feel stuck, and then apply a useless cliche’ on how you can fix your divine self.  Doing something meaningful towards your goal will lead you to the next step.  Doing anything in a fresh direction will spark the inertia needed to create momentum.  Set your mind towards something and everything will fall into place.  Trust me.  I challenged you to do something today, it’s a much more exciting conversation than talking about doing nothing.

If you like and appreciate electorica music like i do, then, you would love the work of Schinichi Osawa, a one man DJ from the land of the rising sun Japan. This guy’s stuff is radical, a former bassist turned DJ/Producer. Shinichi is becoming well known in the scene of electronica music. He did several remixes of some of the popular groups out there, to name some-Chemical Brothers, Boys Noize, Digitalism, Soulwax, Plaid, and the Mighty Dub Katz.  I dug his style and dynamic on stage. Some of the tracks that I really enjoy are “The One,” “Electro411,” “The Patch,” “Rendevouz,” “The Golden,” “Detonator,” “Dreamhunt,” and the electro rock type “Maximum Joy,” pretty much majority of the tracks from the first album. Here are some videos.
